The dining room is really small and there is not enough seating. So you have to stand and wait for someone to leave for x amount of minutes. They seem to be doing the best they can though with their seating restrictions. The food was good. And the price was fantastic. Family of 4 got away with $25 bill at a sit down restaurant.
I had the French toast and I ate it so quick because it was really good. I recommend large chocolate milk because it was the best I have ever had. The vibe was fun and the waitress was amazing. Really good service. 5 💎
There was a problem with Google maps, I couldn't select six stars. Wow, this place was awesome! We used Google maps to find restaurant. We we're in the area camping and decided to go out for breakfast. They offer a number of breakfast specials - the family ordered a couple of "X"'s and 'A"'s. The portions we're very large, the specials were fantastic. We brought left overs home. The French toast was great with the cinnamon butter was the best. The way I judge a restaurant is on the coffey refill frequency. My cup was never empty! I didn't have to ask for a refill or a warm-up! If you are in the area stop in!
The Village Kitchen was a great experience ! There were 6 people in our party & everyone had something different to eat & empty plates at the end. Everything was delicious & the atmosphere was very pleasant as well as the the service. Thank you for a very nice dining experience. Your Michigan friends
This is a locals type of place and is usually full during traditional meal times and after church. I was there today with a high school buddy. Other friends eat there with me too. Food is good and it is near town center and I would say prices are relatively low. A go to place but you hardly ever see children eating there. No smokey food smell. Service is prompt and food comes fast.
First off the place is hopping. Busy as all get out. Even so not too long a wait for a seat at the counter. One thing you'll notice right off is that not one inch of space is wasted. The menu is a short list of staple breakfast items. At first I thought I was hand an old meanie from the early 80s. The price are ridiculously low. The food was pretty good but the eggs in the omelet were a little flat. All in all a pretty good place.
There is no doubt about the age of the building, but don't let that fool you. When you walk thru the door, you may be fortunate to get a table. It doesn't matter the day or time, I've found it busy each visit. The food is plentiful and tasty. The staff are kind and friendly. I was incredibly impressed at the cleanliness. The bathroom ceiling register could easily have passed a white glove test and that is an area you can often see missed dirt. I will continue to visit and recommend this delicious stop. Bravo, Village Kitchen!
Good home style food with a cozy atmosphere for a reasonable price. The daily specials are great as well. From simple burgers, and, fish baskets to Prie rib and Delmonico steaks there is something for everyone.
Great Grilled chicken sandwich. And the cheddar broccoli soup is to die for! A great small town classic.
Good food and always busy
Great food ,nice people fair price
Great food friendly staff and good prices
Has great specials for lunch and dinner. Great food. Has carry out. Very friendly and reasonable prices
Great food good pricing excellent staff.. Friendly experience, I came back from another state to eat.. I would recommend this for a personal and enjoyable meal
Good food and fast service!
Wonderful home cooked meals at very reasonable prices! They offer all you can eat fish on certain days. The fried chicken was a bit over cooked to our liking but still very good. Breakfast is awesome and the wait staff are super friendly. Great little diner!
Great food. Great prices. Awesome friendly service.
Incredible prices, lots of food.
Good food. Experienced waitresses and cheap prices.
Easily considered the hidden gem of Angola; a cozy, home-style restaurant with unbeatable prices.
It's a small restaurant with comfort food that tastes decent. The wait staff was friendly, and the food came quickly. Prices are reasonable. Pies are homemade and tasty.
Great food at cheap prices. Friendly, efficient staff.
Amazing food with affordable prices
When we travel, we try and look for mom and pop restaurants. This was an excellent choice. Great food, friendly staff, very casual. Definitely a great place to eat!
We went to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning. Needless to say they were very busy! We didn’t wait long for a table, first come first served. Our waitress was very friendly and payed attention to detail. The food was delicious! Good old home cooking. Wish they were not 2 hours away. I highly recommend this establishment! We are even going back for breakfast on our way home!
The food was fresh and excellent.. Highly recommend....!
Great food for a great price 👍
Definitely what you might call a mom and pop place, which in this case is not a negative at all. Came on a Sunday morning, peak breakfast time and waited about 10 minutes for two people, so not bad. Once seated, quickly jad someone by with water and coffee and menus. I had breakfast X, which was eggs, meat, toast, hash browns and French toast. The portions were very hefty and the price, $7.99 was very good. Service was great with the servers all helping one another keep water and coffee filled. Food served very quickly. A very nice place for breakfast, seemed like a mix of older people and college aged kids.Thumbs up to this place.
Great french fries 🍟.
The food, the service was great all of it. Very cheap price for great food. I will definitely be returning again. Love it
Owner is amazing, but the service isnt so great. The server didnt offer to replace it take off the gross fruit plate I didnt eat.
The service is fast and friendly. The food hot, tasty and very reasonable priced. I have just recently found this little restaurant but most definitely will return again and again.
We met at this place cousins from Michigan and cousins from Ohio. We literally just pointed on a map. We definitely had great food awesome pie and good service. We decided to keep this place as a halfway meeting point. A must to save room for the fresh homemade cream pies :-)
Small but very nice. family friendly. Reasonable prices you get a lot of food for your money.
Fast, friendly service. Super affordable for college students. And great food. I recommend the sausage biscuit gravy.
The food was delicious and all the workers were polite, however I have a huge concern about the sanitation. Tables were being wiped down with the same rag and when I didn't use my grape jelly packet that was on my plate, I already ate off of, a worker took it off the plate, wiped it with the same rag as the tables and put it back into the container with the rest of them.
Very busy local place.good food
Lovely place to have breakfast service is great. Food is good cheap too
Love this place... Great food. Great staff! Usually busy but with the wait.
Great service and great food.
Love their biscuits and gravy 😋
Waitstaff is normally really friendly in the mornings, end of the evening before close was another story. Horrid service from the young people.
Great Food an great prices.
Servers are wonderful. Great food and service💖
Place is great ! The girls that work there are fantastic ! Food is good. Really nice home feel.
Service was fast; waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was more than reasonably priced and was very good! In town for a wedding but would drive back for the food. ☺️
First time there. Great food. Great service. Very friendly. Great pricing. Just like home!!!
This is the best breakfast that I have had from any restaurant in my life. I liked it so much that I going back for a second visit on my way back home. Also you get a lot for your money!
Very small restaurant with the feel of a place straight out of the 1950s Angola. The walls are covered in wood panel and the bar remains the same. The restaurant is very tight and there isn’t a lot of breathing room. However, if you want a meal straight from how grandparents would of had it this is the place to go. Price also are pretty reasonable.
Best place to eat in Angola! Great service. Great coffee! Biscuits and gravy to die for.
